This lawsuit is about whether the Government violated federal pay statutes by improperly failing to pay weekend “premium pay” to GS-0083-005 VA supervisory police officers for work those officers performed during weekend shifts between January 11, 2004, and July 13, 2014.
The Court determined that the Government is obligated to provide retroactive premium pay to GS0083-005 VA supervisory police officers who worked weekend shifts between January 11, 2004, and July 13, 2014, but were not paid at the required weekend premium pay rates. The Court has allowed the lawsuit to proceed as a Class Action on behalf of GS-0083-005 VA supervisory police officers who worked weekend shifts between January 11, 2004, and July 13, 2014, but did not receive weekend premium pay for at least one of those shifts. The Court will include any prospective class member in this Class Action who both meets these criteria and opts in to this Class Action.
